搬到Eindhoven新家剛好一個月
這ㄧ個月來
我們慢慢了解了我們的neighborhood
知道大部分的東西去哪家店買
買了腳踏車
去了這邊的幾間中國超市比較貨品
也找到一間不錯的中國餐廳
偶而去不遠的公園 坐在草地上曬曬太陽 或是跑步
周六晚上還有最新的BBC影集可以看(剛看完Doctor Who和Merlin)

整體來說
Eindhoven的生活環境是舒服的
沒有鹿特丹的擁擠
天氣也比較好

九月的最後一周
西歐被熱浪侵襲
我們享受了一周的陽光
看起來好天氣還會持續

總而言之
目前的新生活挺不錯的

[NEW WORD] UNGELIVABLE

今天在論壇(當然是對岸的)上
看到內文有UNGELIVABLE這個字
第一個反應和有人的留言一樣: 打錯字 應該是UNBELIEVABLE
結果原來是我OUT了

這是對岸中式英文的新字: UN-GELI-VABLE 不-給力-形容詞

Anyway,只要是對岸網站的常客 都知道給力是什麼意思
而給力的英文 大家都知道是什麼了

White Collar_Season 2

The last scene of season 1 was the explosion of the jet. Neal was sent back to prison for his attempt of fleeing. Peter got him out again. In this season, Peter's attitude toward Neal was different. Considering Neal's pain of losing his beloved girlfriend, Peter and Mozzie together prevented Neal from doing something stupid. They seemed fully trust each other after EP208. However, in the last 5 minutes of season 2, the trust was broken and left audiences with great curiosity about the coming season 3.



Interesting episodes:
EP201: Neal and Peter worked together on a bank robbery. They proved again that they are a great team.
EP203: Neal got copycats. He went to meet them, a professor who taught crimes and his several students, and worked together with them in order to catch them.
EP207: Neal and Peter together ran a prisoner's dilemma on a "put your C.I. to work" day.
EP208: Neal and Peter went undercover in a high-tech company.
EP209: Neal found Fowler was innocent. Mozzie cracked the code inside of the music box but soon got shot and the code was stolen.
EP210: Peter was framed for a crime he did not commit, and was suspended from the FBI. They organized a con to catch the real criminal.
EP211: A flashback episode to disclose how Neal became a con and how he was caught by Peter.
EP213: Neal was approached by an old friend of June's and he made Neal to think carefully about his future, being a con or being a man.

White Collar_Season 1

The main theme of season 1 is that Neal was looking after his missing girlfriend, Kate. Although Neal and Peter worked well on solving cases, their attitudes toward Kate were different. Neal was eager finding Kate but Peter kept implying Neal that he should let her go. Peter knew Neal was doing something behind him, and he haven't fully trusted Neal. He was always keeping an eye on Neal. The tension between them was sometimes high. However, Neal confessed that Peter was the only person he trusted. In the final episode, Peter tried to stop Neal fleeing with Kate. When Neal was hesitating, the jet exploded and Kate was killed.



Episodes I think are good:
EP101: the pilot episode. The two main characters well showed their personal characteristics and you could tell they would definitely be good partners.
EP107: Neal was accused to be a thief. He handsomely escaped when going to court. He and Peter worked together to prove his innocence.
EP108: Neal and Peter went undercover investigating a corrupting Wall-Street brokerage firm. How good Neal was at convincing people is amazing.
EP113: Neal was forced to join a crime planned by an old 'friend'. Once again Neal showed his convincing and acting skills.
EP114: In order to save Kate, Neal cooperated with Mozzie and Alex to steal the music box. The process of stealing is exciting. Neal faced an important decision: to flee with Kate or stay in NY with a real life. Before he made a decision, the jet where Kate was exploded. Puzzles remained unanswered.

White Collar 妙警賊探

After finishing the three episodes of SHERLOCK, I finally found something worth watching--White Collar. I haven't watched American TV series for many years, recent hot series, such as CSI, Sex and the city, and LOST, are not my area. White Collar is about an FBI agent and an ex-con man working together to solve crime cases. Sound familiar, right? Indeed, the set up is very similar to the movie'catch me if you can'. However, unlike the movie is about hiding and chasing. The series focuses on what happened when they work together. It was humorous and interesting.

The two leading role: Neal Caffrey and Peter Burke.

Neal was a con man, forger and thief. He is young, smart, and charming(Matt Bomer looks hot in suits). After the three-year game of cat and mouse, he was caught by the FBI agent, Peter Burke, who is specialized in white collar crimes. Three months before being free, Neal escaped from the prison for his girlfriend, Kate. Peter, who knew Neal the best, caught him the second time. Neal proposed to help Peter as a consultant catching other criminals in exchange of some degree of freedom--2-mile radius walking range with an anklet monitoring his location 24/7. The unusual but successful partnership was formed.

Besides the two main characters, other supporting characters are good. Peter's wife, Elizabeth, is a clever and sweet woman. Mozzie, Neal's good friend and also a con man, is also a talented,knowledgeable, and interesting person. Diana, Lauren, and Jones are all capable FBI agents and they are also nice people. Alex, and Sara, two beautiful women who had affairs with Neal. Alex is a thief and a fence. Sara is an insurance investigator. NO stupid people, I like it.

I won't say every episode is good. But on average this series worth watching.
Especially for someone who like crime investigation but dislike cruel scenes and dead bodies.

Season 3 is coming back less than a month. Looking forward to it.

Queen's Day

Today is Queen's birthday. It's an important holiday in Holland. People celebrate with parties and events. Wearing something orange is the way they show their passion.

However, I have to say that the festival is not that attractive in Rotterdam.
The street parade of their royal marine band may be the best program. Their performance is not bad.

今天在網上看到Benedict Cumberbatch(就是咱們現代版的夏洛克)的粉絲PO了一張他飾演Stephen Hawking的劇照(這張是我截的)



讓我非常想看看他如何詮釋這位科學家
很幸運的 一部BBC六年前的電視電影 土豆上竟然有 再次體會對岸網友及字幕組的強大

這部戲所要闡述的一開始就宣告了:
This is a story of a research for the beginning of time.

劇情是兩條線
一條是1978年Nobel Prize頒獎典禮前 當年物理學獎得主Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson敘述他們1965年發現宇宙背景輻射的經過

另一條則是在大西洋另一端的英國 1964年 一個剛被診斷患有運動神經元疾病的年輕博士生Stephen Hawking 在劍橋大學研究宇宙學 在與病魔鬥爭和談戀愛的同時 思考宇宙的起源
學者好友Roger Penrose證明了singularities(奇異點)的存在給了他靈感
影片中說(Sorry, I am too far from physics. I do not completely understand it.I am not sure whether it is right or not)
愛因斯坦的廣義相對論預測了黑洞的存在 如果時間是倒退的 則塌陷就會變成-->爆炸, the big bang
質疑他的人說 如果大爆炸是對的 應該要能觀測到輻射殘留 That's why we have the other story line.

因為我對這方面曾經有興趣 所以看起來復習一些已經忘了的知識 還挺不錯的
看著那些複雜的物裡算式 感嘆著這些已經離我很遙遠了

當Benedict說著一長串宇宙學的知識 我總會想到那號稱不知道地球繞太陽轉的Holmes
兩個角色在說到自己的本行時眉飛色舞 笑的時候都很燦爛 這應該是演員的個人特質
我不知道Benedict詮釋的Hawking和真人相似度有多高 不過我想 要演出患病的樣子還有含糊的說話應該挺辛苦的 當然Prof. Hawking本人和病魔對抗這麼多年 更是值得尊敬

看完這部片突然很想念口齒清晰的Sherlock了

個人認為比很多電影精彩



這集的內容靈感來自不只一個故事:
布魯斯_杭亭頓計畫(The Adventure of the Bruce-Partington Plans)
五個橘核(The Five Orange Pips)

一開始 Holmes在家快要發霉 無聊只好拿牆壁來練槍
Holmes說他看了Watson的blog: A study in pink (ep1)
Watson期待著他的回應
Holmes對Watson讚揚他推理能力驚人的同時又說他在某方面極度無知感到不太爽快
Holmes慷慨激昂的指著自己的腦袋"This is my hard drive. I only put things useful. REALLY useful."
對Holmes而言 地球繞太陽轉或繞月亮轉是沒有差的 (這段對話脫胎自原著)
Watson覺得話不投機 出門找女友去了

知道對街爆炸後 Watson趕回來
Sherlock的老哥也在
交給他一個案子 調查國家機密文件的流向 保管者已被發現死亡
Sherlock興趣缺缺

這時警方從爆炸現場的保險箱找到一封給Holmes的信
裡頭有和"A study in pink"案件相同的手機
手機留言是5聲格林威治報時的響聲(Greenwich Pips,向5 Orange pips致敬)和一張照片
根據照片 找到要破解的謎 解開謎題 救出人質
前兩次都很順利
第三次 雖然破了案 但人質卻因為形容了兇手的模樣被殺 導致炸彈爆炸
兩人在討論凶手
Watson疑惑凶手的動機
Holmes認為兇手和他一樣 只是因為無聊
Watson很不能接受他們這種視生命如草介的價值觀
此時Holmes說的話 非常明白的闡述了他的想法: Don't make people into heroes, John. Heroes don't exist, and if they did, I wouldn't be one of them.

第四輪解的是踢爆Vermeer的偽畫 關鍵是一顆在Vermeer時代還不存在的新星 所以Holmes還是有天文知識的
四輪過後 老哥交代的案子也破了
無聊至極的Holmes邊看肥皂劇邊受不了無腦的劇情
Watson則在一旁用兩指神功寫他的blog
Watson出門約會之後
Holmes約凶手在泳池見面交換文件 這就是最後一輪

Holmes來到泳池赴約時
Watson的出現絕對在他的意料之外
而Watson也對不能去約會加身上綁炸藥不太爽
此時Big Boss--Moriarty現身
原來是之前見過的Gay

這個Moriarty讓我挺失望的
他就是一個瘋子 神經兮兮
但我從原著得到的印象是
他和Holmes本質是非常相像的
只是一個是光 另一個是黑暗 一個破解犯罪 另一個製造犯罪
他在19世紀是一個紳士
在21世紀應該也是一個舉止高雅的冷酷智慧型罪犯
而不是一個純粹是因為得不到"心上人"關注而發瘋的傢伙
我可以接受Moriarty對Holmes有異樣感情的設定
畢竟他們本質是如此的相似
但絕對不會是這麼外放的"求愛"
這是我對這個Series覺得失望的地方

忽略掉最後那幾分鐘的瘋子
整部片還是非常非常好看的
讓我熱血沸騰啊
I love Sherlock!

改編自<四簽名> 本集壞人:中國黑幫(原著是印度人)



Holmes接受在銀行工作的老同學委託
找出潛入大樓噴漆留下記號的凶手
他推測這是留給其中一個員工的訊息
當他們到達該員工的住所 卻發現他已死亡
當警探很自然的認為這是自殺
Holmes再度發揮他的刻薄功力
一氣呵成
讓對方羞愧不已

當第二天一名記者一樣在密室中被殺之後
他們發現相同的記號
在比對兩名死者之前的行蹤之後
他們在中國城發現那種密碼是中國古代的一種數字系統"蘇州碼子"(祖先的古老智慧)
而那兩人則是幫中國黑幫從中國走私骨董的走私者
他們追查到一個中國女子 她告訴他們關於幫派和密碼的事情
在剛提到解密碼所需的書時 就...大家都懂的 這樣能再多演半小時

Watson想要約女同事
Holmes"好心"告訴他今晚有個中國雜技團演出
當Watson去取票時 發現訂的是三張票
Watson很不滿這顆電燈泡
Holmes無法理解有甚麼事比辦案重要
Of course,這個秀自然是被Holmes砸了

秀砸了 主腦卻跑了
當Holmes靈光一閃 拿著地圖集解碼時
Watson和Sarah被中國黑幫抓走了
Holmes即時趕到 解救了他們
最後 那價值九百萬英鎊的玉簪好好的別在女秘書的髮上
我們也知道了這次黑幫的走私行動背後有著高人指點--Moriarty



這集感覺精彩度不及第一集
因為第一集還有交代兩人相識的經過
這集純粹只有解謎
再加上中國黑幫和雜技團表演對於我們Chinese來說
實在不夠給力
不過學到"蘇州碼子"還是很有意義的

不過當看到熟悉的場景還有兩人一起探案的情景
還是很興奮的

本集景點:
London Business district(我當時去的時候 路上就是一堆西裝革履的人 應當跟Wall Street很像)
New Scotland Yard(那塊旋轉招牌我看到很興奮呀 就是從Holmes小說知道的)
Chinatown(I had lunch and dinner there, 很大的華阜, 離Picadilly Square很近)

Watson is still an army doctor, wounded in Afghanistan(這橋段在柯南道爾寫下的100多年後仍然適用,英國的帝國主義依然存在呀). He is under the treatment of PTSD. This Watson use BLOG to record their adventures.

2010,BBC 3集迷你劇"Sherlock"將Holmes and Watson的故事搬到當今倫敦
成就一個科技化 充滿現代感 但推理和故事大綱仍保有原著精神的上乘之作
而且暗藏其中的"腐"味 更讓一大票人瘋狂 讓它成為去年的大熱門



Follow原著, Dr. Watson遇見了老同學
與此同時 另一男主角--Holmes正在鞭屍(研究鞭痕)
老同學引荐兩人見面
Holmes注意到了Watson之後 問:Afghanistan or Iraq?
在Watson還對此人一無所知而對同住有所疑慮時 Holmes已經把Watson的狀況推測的八九不離十了

場景來到了Baker Street
熟悉的Baker Street街牌呀! (一陣激動)
221B的建築外觀和我之前去的Holmes Museum非常相似 (更激動了)
兩人碰頭
Watson:"Mr. Holmes"
Holmes:"Sherlock, please"
在原著中 他們始終是稱呼彼此Holmes和Watson的
時代不同啦...

Watson向Holmes提起"I searched you on the Internet last night. Found your website: The science of deduction." 在網路上search新認識的人is very common these days.

從Holmes分析犯罪現場來看
他並非是因為道德感 純粹是因為破案是一件有趣的事情
當他發現他對抗的是一個serial killer非常的high
Holmes的個性是非常明顯的 刻薄的調侃 怪異的行為 Everyone could tell he is a geek.

Watson的個性並非如此但從幾場戲可以表現出
在和神秘男會面中 他有自己的原則 雖然還沒承認和Holmes之間的友誼 但他所做所言皆是以朋友的角度替他著想
而透過神秘男之口 我們發現Watson的心理問題不是PTSD:You miss the battlefield
當警察以毒品為藉口在家中亂翻 Watson的仗義直言也顯示出他強烈的正義感
對於Holmes把破案當遊戲的態度不滿 也代表著Watson的道德感

離開犯罪現場 Holmes相信被害人的手機在兇手身上 設下一個引誘凶手的陷阱
When they were chasing after the taxi, Holmes這個行動GPS is really amazing.以飛快的運算速度計算出alternative route.
另外值得注意的是一直佇著拐杖的Watson健步如飛,證實了神秘男子對他的推論
熱愛追逐危險的個性也合理解釋為何這兩個人湊在一起

無功而返之後 Holmes突然想出"RACHE"是暗示密碼"RACHEL"
被害人手機的tracking system顯示手機就在221B
當Holmes看到那個taxi driver,瞬間明白他就是兇手
在接下來和兇手的對談中 凶手的動機 方法也一步步揭開
個人認為這邊的張力可以再更強烈一點
而最後也未揭開Holmes的選擇究竟是對是錯
Watson秀了一下他精準的槍法
之後從Holmes對槍手的推斷 我們可以得知Holmes對Watson的看法

有人質疑Holmes踩在凶手的傷口上太過殘忍
中年之後的Holmes是比較有人情味
但在還以追逐破案為樂的青年時代
在這種時刻我認為Holmes是可以冷血到如此的
也因此周遭有人質疑他有一天會不滿足於破案的樂趣而走向犯罪之路
克莉絲蒂筆下的大偵探白羅即是如此 幸好道爾沒有這麼安排
最後Holmes成為一個平凡的養蜂人
Anyway, 結局就是史上最出名的偵探搭檔 並肩而行



90分鐘的戲 非常精彩 以一部獨立的電影來看也比很多電影好看得多
First Episode "A study in Pink" 推胎自"A study in Scarlet 血字的研究"
保留了原著的推理過程加上英式幽默風格 兼具劇情和娛樂 大愛這部戲

關於此劇的腐 這是我看過最明目張膽賣腐的劇 據說英國人還滿能接受所謂的"bromance"
而該劇編劇之一Mark Gatiss就是出櫃的同志
我是不反對bromance 但是我覺得就停留在知己情誼 比一般朋友更好但並不是真正的情侶 若有似無的曖昧最美

演員很重要 許許多多人演過Holmes和Watson 身為推理史上最出名的搭檔 兩人之間的chemistry很重要
之前的版本多是兩個保守的英國紳士
現代版必須有不同的氣質但是要保留人物特色
Benedict Cumberbatch的Holmes我覺得很不錯很有魅力
在兩人的第一場對手戲 就把Holmes的人格特質表現的很出色
既有原著裡的個性又多了現代青年的俏皮
Martin Freeman的Watson去除掉紳士的設定之後就如同一般的平凡人
在跟Holmes一起的時候 顯現出他勇氣 正義和熱愛冒險的特質
我倒覺得不像醫生比較像警探
這兩個人之間的chemistry很不錯
期待今秋的第二季

看完這部戲又想去倫敦了

超想念的
其他牌子吃起來就是差了那麼點

新貨大概還在海上吧

武林外傳電影版 觀後感

從年前看到預告片後 就一直很期待
今天得知Source之後 就看了

Well, 我想我跟很多當年看過電視版並且還算喜歡這部情境喜劇的人一樣
都期待看電影版可以找回當年的感覺

的確 我們看到熟悉的演員扮演著我們喜歡的角色
裡面一些諷刺當今社會現象的橋段 或是現代化的台詞 都能令人發笑
"古裝版'傳奇'MV" 和"購物頻道" 都滿惡趣味的

但 整個劇情節奏有點怪異 讓我覺得很彆扭
雖然有主線 但卻不夠"給力"
所以總結來說 是有些失望的

編導或許將30分鐘一集的電視版節奏控制得很好
但90分鐘的電影版 並不是3個電視版的組合 也不是幾個小高潮就可以讓人留住觀賞的興趣

看了的確是可以笑一笑
但我個人並不認為是一部很好的電影

大陸這種借古諷今的喜劇片 近年是越來越多了
同為2011賀歲片的讓子彈飛 我覺得是更加精采

Go Lu!

借朋友的圖現一下

昨天去幫盧彥勳加油
是衝著近又便宜才去的
有的鄉親是坐飛機或一早坐火車從德國過來
總共50~60人吧
很多人穿著印著國旗的鄉親服 滿醒目的

一開始盧彥勳就居於劣勢
後來有追回一些 第一盤以6:4落敗
第二盤一直領先 本可以一鼓作氣拿下這盤
但是因為他的狀態一直不是很穩
所以到最後被追到6:6
搶七本來也領先
但是最後......

真的很可惜
要是當初轉機沒耽誤
感覺是可以贏的
他的ACE也比對手多

Anyway,花了10歐可以近距離觀賞一場現場的比賽很值得 又表現了台灣同胞的熱情
讓我有點想去看四大賽的Final
現場看Federer和Nadal對抽一定很過癮
